Brookstone Kids Ministry
On-site Ministry Plan

The Brookstone Kids leaders and volunteers miss you and your kids!  We want you to know what our team is doing as we prepare for your family to join us for on-site ministry.  We are offering Brookstone Kids At Home (online) and on-site Brookstone Kids Ministry at the Weaverville campus at 9:00AM and 11:00AM, and at our Merrimon campus at 11:00AM.  The safety of your family, and our volunteers are of paramount importance to us!  After reviewing the CDC guidelines and local Health Department recommendations here is a list of what things will look like once you and your family are ready to join us for on-site ministry:

  • We ask that if anyone in your household is currently experiencing or has recently experienced: cold-like symptoms, cough, fever, vomiting or diarrhea, that the entire family stays home and utilizes the online resources.

  • All Brookstone Kids areas have been deep cleaned by our church's cleaning service, leaders, and volunteers prior to resuming on-site services.

  • Carpeted areas in the children’s wings have been professionally cleaned.

  • All Brookstone Kids areas will be deep cleaned on a regular basis and in between services by sanitizing surfaces, toys and doors.

  • All Brookstone Kids volunteers will be screened, by checking their temperature prior to serving.  Any volunteer with a temperature of 100.0 F or greater will be asked to return home and access our online resources for safety measures.

  • In compliance with CDC Guideline's, we ask that every volunteer, child and family member that enters a children's wing wash or sanitize hands just before entering.  It's also recommended that you wash or sanitize your hands after exiting the children's areas.

  • Limit ONE adult, per family, to drop-off and pick-up children.  Entrance and Exit only signage will be clearly marked in each Brookstone Kids areas.

  • A Check-In Team member will sign your child(ren) in to the computer system in order to minimize the number of people touching the keypad.

  • Please plan to keep diaper bags with you. You may bring necessary items in a labeled ziploc baggie.

  • Teachers will wear gloves while preparing and serving snacks.

  • Parent Day will be available online, children will be provided an opportunity to use their camp coins and monthly object lessons will be given out in their classrooms.

  • More seating options will be available during small group and large group times in the Treehouse and Bonfire Rooms to encourage social distancing.

  • Children may be moved to a classroom above or below their age group to keep class sizes as small as possible.

  • Activities will be chosen with social distancing in mind to minimize sharing of supplies and close contact.

  • Brookstone Kids staff and volunteers have been notified of this plan and are willing/able to comply with these requests.

We are honored that you choose to partner with us as we share the love of Jesus with the next generation! Thanks for helping us as we adjust on-site ministry in order to keep children, volunteers, and families safe during these changing times.
