Job Description
Responsibilities:
Maintain a calendar for the Guest Service Director.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and mailing for Guest Services.
Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed. Check for messages daily and route any messages to the appropriate staff.
Schedule meetings both internally and externally.
Check email daily and respond appropriately.
Manage communication via email, text, and phone with potential and current volunteers.
Post needs and or prayer requests of volunteers as requested. Gather information regarding flowers, illnesses, and needs.
Room set-up every Sunday morning as well as for Guest Service trainings and special events.
Take notes in meetings and ensure that tasks brought up are accomplished.
Front desk assistance as needed, including filling the position when they are away from the desk and/or absent from the office.
Scheduling of Buncombe County officers for weekly worship services and for special events across all campuses.

Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn other software regularly used: Realm, Asana, and Planning Center.
Ability to prioritize and systematically follow up on multiple tasks.
A professional, empathetic, and pleasant demeanor.
Creativity in seeking initiatives and offering suggestions for improved ways to manage volunteers and community partners.
Discernment when assessing projects and recognizing unrealized/unmet needs in event planning.
People-oriented and relates well with all people of all age groups and backgrounds.
Must be able to plan, organize, and handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently with the ability to give attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of the church’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and general church practices.

Maintain a vital and growing relationship with the Lord through consistent time in the Word and prayer as well as regular worship attendance.
Commit to EE training. Training should be completed within 1 year.
