Breaking The Silence
BROOKSTONE CHURCH - EQUIP NIGHT
Wednesday, September 4, 2019
6:30PM - 8:00PM
Domestic abuse is the major cause of injury to women in the United States, surpassing rapes, muggings, and automobile accidents combined. Abuse happens in fifty-sixty percent of all relationships and extends beyond mere marital or relational discord. Chances are you know someone touched by such violence.
Psalm 82:3-4 instructs the Christian, “Vindicate the weak and the fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
As the church we must rise up to our responsibility to bring awareness, advocacy, and action protecting victims of domestic abuse. Both men and women have a role to play in ending abuse, and as Christians we have hope for deliverance.
Please make plans to join us for our next Equip Night on September 4th at 6:30PM at the Weaverville Campus as we learn to recognize and respond to the evils of domestic abuse in our church and our community.
All are welcome and this event is open to everyone in the community. Children’s Ministry is provided during this event.
