ALASKA MISSIONS AND RETREATS, INC.

PRIMARY MISSION:

To make disciples of Christ in isolated communities that are struggling with addiction and abuse.  Alaska Missions also works with the high school boys and girls basketball teams to conduct an annual outreach at the Iditarod finish line in Nome, Alaska.

BIBLICAL MINISTRIES WORLDWIDE-INDONESIA (THE EDWARDS’)

PRIMARY MISSION:

To plant churches and translate the bible into Indonesian and other tribal languages.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

The Edwards' currently unable to travel due Covid-19.  But hopes to begin mission again in July, 2020.  They appreciate your prayers for the following:

BIMI (BAPTIST INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS)

PRIMARY MISSION:

Presenting the gospel, planting and overseeing churches and establishing bible colleges in restricted countries.

BSCNC (BAPTIST STATE CONVENTION OF NC)

PRIMARY MISSION:

To serve as a resource center for 77 local Baptist Associations and 4300 churches in N.C.  BSCNC's stated mission is "To Assist The Churches In Their Divinely Appointed Mission."

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

Prayer support for wisdom in advising and networking with these churches throughout North Carolina.

PRIMARY MISSION:

To partner with Buncombe County Baptist church leaders and congregations by cooperating in local, reginal, state, regional, and international missions.  Additionally they provide training, materials, resourses, and general support and encouragement for church leaders and congregations.

CROSSFIRE MINISTRIES

PRIMARY MISSION:

Evangelism through basketball and other sports.  Crossfire Ministries also offers basketball camps throughout the area each summer.

DIVINE GRACE CHURCH (CHURCH PLANT IN ATLANTA)

PRIMARY MISSION:

To evangelize and disciple people in Atlanta.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

A new place for Pastor James to live and for the church to meet.

EBENEZER MISSION (INDIA)

PRIMARY MISSION:

Building wells, operating a boy's and girl's home, and meeting other needs of the surrounding communities.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
  • Jahna Mission Home Expansion: needs $55,000 to complete

  • N.T. Patty Church Building (an insufficient shed houses a church plant that is growing: needs $20,000 to build a sufficient meeting place).

  • A pastor’s house needs finishing: needs $4,000

  • Campus Guest house maintenance: $10,000

  • Yearly expenses for 100 Children to be cared for: needs $20,000

  • Family Staff Quarters at Campus: needs $70,000

  • MH Mission Center: needs $120,000

EVANGELISM EXPLOSION (EQUIP AMERICA, PASTORAL EVANGELISM TRAINING)

PRIMARY MISSION:

Pray for Jeff and Susan Reecer's continual financial needs to be met and for effectiveness in training Christians to evangelize.

LOUDER THAN WORDS

PRIMARY MISSION:

Feeding Program through Indigeneous pastors and backpacking ministry into hard-to-reach areas (grounded because of Covid, but still sending food).

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

Digital Thermometers - they are expecting that the government will allow churches to open in the next week or two. In order to open they will need a thermometer to check temperatures of everyone. There are 25 Lenca churches. The thermometers are a little expensive - $80 each.


The other need is fertilizer for their crops they are planting now. This will set them up for a good position to have food for the end of the year and the start of 2021.


As far as basic food goes:

100 lb bag of corn = $25

100 lb bag of beans = $60

100 lb bag of rice = $50

NEHEMIAH RAJAN (INDIA)

PRIMARY MISSION:
IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

The Champion Home provides comprehensive care for orphan and destitute children displaying Christ's love in a loving family atmosphere. Currently they are caring for 102 orphan and needy children. Prayer is needed for their spiritual life and safety during this Covid -19.


Concerning our Church Planters: During the Covid pandemic, we would like to support them with groceries and other esssentials to take care of their family for a month. Needed Donation is $100 ×45 = $4500.


We are taking care of 65 lepers and their families: Our support goes toward groceries and vegetables worth $50 to each leper family. $50 × 65 = $3250

YOUNG LIFE (JUSTIN HEPLER)

PRIMARY MISSION:

Ministering the gospel at Meredith College, Shaw University, Wake Tech, and N.C. State University.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS:

Young Life had to cancel a fundraiser earlier this year due to Covid that Justin counts on to raise between $15,00 and $20,000.  They are not feeling the hurt yet, but figure to need financial help by the end of this year.
